Have you meet your limitation of your 8HP45 and want to upgrade to a 8HP70 gearbox. This is the adapter kit for you.
Adapter kit to fit a BMW 8HP70 N57 gearbox to a BMW N54/N55/S55 engine.
To be used with the OEM N55 flex-plate, with the adapter the N57 gearbox will get the same length and torque converter position as the 6HP gearbox.
A N55 8HP Torque converter can be installed in the N57 gearbox and will be a direct bolt-on to the N55 flex-plate. If you want to use the N57 torque converter a new bolt pattern needs to be added into the N57 torque converter. We recommend using our modification kit for the most easy installation.
Adapter plate and made out of high grade aluminium and natural anodized for a premium feel and experience.
Adapter plate thickness is 17mm.
S55 engine requires to drill a hole to get access to the torque converter bolts. Preferably in the starter area.
